Hello! Welcome!
I’m in a bit of a soft-opening phase of the new blog. As well as the Patreon and social media. So please bear with me as I tweak the technical. I’ve already got lots of old travel articles and such loaded that you can have a look at as I polish-up the rest of the blog with new categories, links, etc.
The blog will never be perfect. I wouldn’t want it to be. I’m not perfect. No one is perfect (though my husband and doggie come close! โค๏ธ).
I’m tired of seeing everyone online appearing to be perfect. I want to see real, wholesome, joyous content. And that’s what I want to create.
I was kinda stopping myself from posting when I thought I had to run everything through Lightroom and filters. It’s strange to say, because you don’t think it takes that long, but it’s a lot more “work” than simply posting on whatever Facebook. But now there is a whole new AI world that just frightens the hell out of me โ humanity really needs to think about how we’re going to use this technology, btw.
And then all the pretty serene pictures popping up all over Insta gave way to Reels. Sometimes they make sense (have you seen my Furry Princess in her Reels!? Heart-melting adorable!). But sometimes it’s just nice to see a pretty picture. I mean you shouldn’t have to do Reels for 100% of your IG content, just to get your content in front of people.
So I’ve decided to just go back to blogging. Simply. Artfully. Joyously.
I want this to be a special place you come visit that’s uplifting, inspiring, merry and bright โ all year long, not just at Christmas time.๐
Now, while I don’t expect this space to be perfect, I do want it to be really good. So while I don’t have the connections or control of getting a picture in front of the Buckingham Palace without a bunch of tourist in the background, I do have control of the layout and logic of the blog.
