On a sunny, breezy, perfect weather day on a Sunday in July, Mayor Allison Silberberg officiated her first wedding at the Old Dominion Boat Club (ODBC) in Old Town, Alexandria, Virginia.
The ceremony took place at high tide on July 10, 2016 aboard “Seas The Day” boat docked at the ODBC.

The debonair Miles Holtzman and his lovely bride Jennifer Irving were married by the Mayor in a brief but eloquent ceremony among family and close friends. Miles is a long time member of the ODBC and past President of the club. Jennifer is the founder/owner and editor in chief of the Old Town Post.

Jennifer’s other love of her life, Fefe, was adorned for the wedding gala in her own personalized attire. Fefe’s blue pedicure matched the nautical theme of the wedding.
At 4:00 p.m., the after wedding party started with a full on reception with a rocking band. Dancing, drinking and eating ensued along with caricatures and a selfie station. The party was set to end at 8:00 p.m. However, too much fun was being had so the bar and the band were extended for another hour.

Jennifer, now known as Mrs. Holtzman, will share more photos and stories here at Old Town Post when she and Miles return from their honeymoon in about a week.
Congrats to the newlywed Holtzmans and their awesome families who put together an unforgettable day.

Heartfelt congratulations to Jennifer and Miles! What a beautiful and moving wedding on a boat and then a fabulous party at the Old Dominion Boat Club! I was deeply honored to officiate the wedding. Wishing Jennifer and Miles all the happiness the world has to offer! Mazeltov!
